The Corn Islands and Nicaraguan Atlantic Coast offer excellent
opportunities for sport fishing. The lagoons and rivers of the coast
are abundant with tarpon and snook and the blue waters of the
Caribbean Corn Islands are host to all pelagic species including
sailfish, marlin, tuna and dolphin.
Though the sport fish are prolific, sport fishing charters are few and
far between on the Atlantic Coast.

Hotel Paraiso Fishing Trips: Paraiso organises fishing trips in their
private boat; either bottom fishing, using hand lines for snapper,
grouper and trigger fish (old wife!) or trolling with conventional tackle
for mackerel, kingfish and barracuda. Prices start at $ 30 per person
and include lunch and refreshments. Every qualifying catch can be

Capt. Eddie is a Corn Island legend. Husband of a former Mayor
(Anita), life-long lobster fisherman & Nicaraguan Atlantic Coast expert
and historian. Catching fish and telling fish stories are in his blood!
Capt. Eddie provides bait and tackle for $50 pp (minimum 2 anglers,
3-4 hours) for trolling and/or bottom fishing. No charge for stories!
